Jewish Traditions

RELIGION IS A WAY OF LIFE

Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation provides exemplary care to the community of Williamsburg. As a Glatt Kosher sub-acute care center, Jewish traditions are an important part of daily life.  We go the extra mile to provide our residents and their families a true taste of home.  We are proud to offer:

  • Rabbinical Services: The Rabbinical staff is deeply concerned with our residents’ well-being and satisfaction. They have daily involvement with both our residents and their families.
  • Prayers: All residents can partake in our daily minyan three times a day on-premise. Come see our newly renovated shul.
  • Kosher Menu: Bedford Center provides a homelike Glatt Kosher (and cholov yisroel) menu. Our kosher kitchen is overseen by a full-time Mashgiach who is under the strict guidance of the Viener Dayan of Monsey, R’ Menachem Fisher. We believe that all patients should enjoy their dining experience and have the comfort of knowing that their religious beliefs are being adhered to in the most stringent manner.
  • Shabbos: Davening and a beautiful full course Shabbos meal are served in our spacious Bikur Cholim room to residents and families.
  • Yomim Tovim: Bedford Center provides an authentic and traditional holiday experience for each of the Yomim Tovim in the Jewish calendar year.
